Insider Dining Tips
•Belthazar Wine Bar & Steakhouse Seafood Savvy
•Start with a wine selection from their 600+ options — Belthazar offers South Africa's largest wine-by-the-glass selection, perfect for pairing throughout your meal.
•Begin with shared seafood platters as starters rather than individual appetizers — their seafood is sourced daily from local waters.
•For steak orders, specify your preferred cooking temperature and consider their wet-aged specialty cuts, which are displayed at their meat counter before cooking.
•Pace your meal deliberately — Belthazar's V&A Waterfront location encourages lingering, especially if seated on their view-facing terrace.
•When ordering for the table, balance seafood and steak options — their combination platters offer the best of both Belthazar signatures.
Insider Tip
•Half-price sushi and certain wines by the glass during their 12-6pm daily happy hour — perfect for waterfront sundowners.
