Insider Dining Tips
•Bertha's Restaurant Seafood & Café Strategy
•Time your visit to secure a waterfront table – Bertha's prime harbor-view seats fill quickly, especially during whale-watching season (June-November).
•Start with shareable seafood platters rather than individual appetizers – the restaurant's strength lies in variety samplers showcasing local catches.
•Consider "land and sea" pairings when ordering at Bertha's – a seafood main complemented by one of their hearty Café-style sandwiches creates balance.
•Save room for their homemade desserts – Bertha's Café roots shine through in their malva pudding and local twist on cheesecake.
•Weekday lunch specials offer better value than weekend dining – the same quality seafood with lower price points and shorter wait times.
Insider Tip
•Happy Hour runs 4-6PM Monday through Thursday with half-price on selected local wines and R25 oysters.
