Insider Dining Tips
•Chef Micky's Thai Table Tactics
•Begin with a sharing approach – Thai meals at Chef Micky's are meant for the table, not individual ordering. Aim for 3-4 dishes between two people.
•Start with Tom Yum soup or Chef Micky's signature spring rolls before moving to mains – this progressive eating style honors traditional Thai dining customs.
•Balance your flavor profiles by ordering across the spectrum: something spicy (red curry), something mild (Pad Thai), something fresh (papaya salad).
•Rice is central, not a side. Order one serving per person and use it to temper spicy dishes or soak up fragrant sauces.
•Don't rush – Chef Micky's Private Dining experience unfolds at a leisurely pace, with dishes arriving as they're prepared rather than all at once.
•Trust the spice scale (1-5) when ordering. Chef Micky's authentic Thai heat levels aren't toned down for the Johannesburg palate!
Insider Tip
•Book the Chef's Table experience 48 hours in advance to enjoy a custom 7-course tasting menu with wine pairings at only R150 more than standard dining.
