Insider Dining Tips
•Fishmonger (Illovo) Seafood Strategy Guide
•Start with fresh oysters as a palate opener — Fishmonger's selection is flown in daily and served with classic mignonette.
•For main courses, check the chalkboard specials first — this is where the day's best catches and seasonal seafood offerings are listed.
•When ordering sushi, the platters offer better value than individual rolls, especially when dining with 3+ people.
•Mediterranean seafood dishes are served tapas-style — order 2-3 plates for sharing between two diners.
•Save room for their signature seafood platters, featuring grilled and fried options that showcase Fishmonger's Mediterranean influences.
•Don't rush your meal — proper seafood dining follows a slower Mediterranean pace, allowing flavors to be savored between courses.
Insider Tip
•Tuesday nights feature half-price sushi platters after 6PM — the perfect time to sample their extensive Japanese offerings.
