Insider Dining Tips
•Forest 44 Wilderness Dining Guide
•Forest 44 offers a unique farm-to-table experience set in Stellenbosch's picturesque wilderness, blending nature with refined cuisine.
•Reservations are essential, especially for weekend dining. The secluded location means tables are limited and highly sought after.
•Opt for the chef's tasting menu to experience the full range of seasonal, foraged ingredients that define Forest 44's wilderness-inspired cuisine.
•Dress in smart-casual layers. While elegant, the forest setting can have temperature variations throughout your dining experience.
•Allow ample time for your visit - Forest 44 isn't about rushing. Their multi-course experiences typically last 2-3 hours.
•The wine pairing option showcases outstanding Stellenbosch vintages specifically selected to complement the forest-foraged flavors.
Insider Tip
•Book the "Sunset Seating" (around 5:30 PM in summer) to enjoy your early courses with spectacular views across the wilderness landscape.
