Insider Dining Tips
•Shanghai Beacon Bay: Asian Fusion Etiquette
•Order family-style at Shanghai with 1-2 dishes per person, placing shared plates in the center for everyone to sample.
•Start with light appetizers like dumplings or spring rolls before moving to mains — this progressive eating style honors Asian dining traditions.
•When sharing sushi platters, take one piece at a time using the provided serving utensils, not your personal chopsticks.
•Pace yourself through multiple courses — Shanghai's extensive menu spans Chinese and Japanese cuisines that are best enjoyed unhurried.
•Pour tea for others before yourself as a customary gesture of respect when enjoying Shanghai's authentic Asian dining experience.
•Mix and match across cuisines — combine dim sum with sushi rolls for a true East-meets-East fusion experience.
Insider Tip
•Weekday lunch specials (12-2pm) include a half-price second bento box when you purchase one at regular price.
