Insider Dining Tips
•The Backyard Café blends South African hospitality with Mediterranean and French influences, perfect for enjoying as a quick bite or lingering meal.
•Start with their coffee (locally roasted) then build your meal around seasonal health-forward options that change regularly on their chalkboard menu.
•Share a few deli items between friends - their platters are designed for mixing French, Mediterranean and Cape-inspired flavors.
•Don't rush out after eating - The Backyard Café is designed as a "third space" where lingering with a book or laptop is encouraged.
•For light meals, pair a salad with their freshly baked bread rather than ordering separate starters and mains.
Insider Tip
•The Backyard loyalty program gives you your 10th coffee free plus early access to their popular weekend health food workshops.
