Insider Dining Tips
•The Blue Room African Dining Basics
•Start with a hand-washing ritual - most authentic African dining at The Blue Room begins with ceremonial washing of hands in warm water.
•Embrace communal dining - dishes are typically served in a central pot or platter for everyone to share.
•Master eating with your hands - particularly with pap, fufu or other staples, using just your right hand is traditional at The Blue Room.
•Try the house special "7-Pot Tasting" - a curated flight of different stews and sauces that provides the full African culinary experience.
•Don't rush your meal - African dining is inherently social, with multiple courses meant to be enjoyed over conversation.
Insider Tip
•Visit on "Taste of Africa Tuesdays" for half-price traditional beer pairings with any main meal order.
