Insider Dining Tips
•The Gecko Bar: Oceanside Grazing Guide
•The Gecko Bar combines pub atmosphere with pan-Asian flavors and seafood specialties, perfect for a relaxed Hermanus dining experience.
•Start with drinks and order food in waves rather than all at once - this keeps the experience casual and plates fresh.
•Sushi and Thai dishes are designed for sharing - order 2-3 plates per person and pass them around the table.
•Seafood options shine at The Gecko - coastal location means fresher catches than you'll find at standard pub venues.
•Pizza makes an excellent table centerpiece - order one to share alongside smaller Asian-inspired plates.
•Mix drink styles freely - craft beer pairs surprisingly well with spicy Thai dishes, while cocktails complement sushi.
Insider Tip
•Happy Hour runs daily 4-6PM with half-price selected cocktails and discounted beer buckets - arrive early for ocean-view seating.
