Insider Dining Tips
•The Grill Room Fine-Dining Etiquette
•Reservations are essential at The Grill Room, especially for dinner service. Book at least 2-3 weeks in advance for weekends.
•Business-casual attire is expected - no shorts, flip-flops or beachwear, despite the coastal Umhlanga location.
•Consider the chef's tasting menu for the full experience. It showcases the restaurant's finest seafood and steak preparations.
•When ordering steak, specify both cut preference and cooking temperature. The Grill Room's expert staff can guide your selection.
•Vegetarians aren't an afterthought here - notify staff of dietary preferences when booking for specially crafted options.
•Wine pairings elevate the experience - ask your server for recommendations from their award-winning South African wine selection.
Insider Tip
•The Grill Room's High Tea served from Monday to Sunday (2:30PM-5PM) offers exceptional value at R450 per person with unlimited tea/coffee.
