Insider Dining Tips
•The Local Grill (Parktown North): Steak House Savvy
•Beef education matters at The Local Grill - ask your server about aging methods and meat origins before ordering.
•The "Dry" vs. "Wet" aged beef debate is central here - try both styles as they offer distinctly different flavor profiles.
•Consider sharing sides family-style - their creamed spinach and triple-cooked chips are designed for the table.
•Don't rush the experience - a proper steak dinner at The Local Grill involves multiple stages, from starters to dessert.
•Save room for their signature South African desserts - the malva pudding pairs perfectly after a hearty steak.
•For burger enthusiasts, know that patties come from the same premium beef as steaks - request your preferred cooking temperature.
Insider Tip
•Book their "Beef Experience" tour (R150pp) before your meal - includes kitchen tour, aging room visit, and wine pairing advice.
