Insider Dining Tips
•The Venue by Harrison Flowers: Fine Dining Decoded
•Reservations are essential at The Venue, especially for weekend dinners when Cape Town's elite flock to Harrison Flowers' signature establishment.
•The tasting menu experience is the star attraction – allow 2-3 hours to fully appreciate the culinary journey rather than rushing through courses.
•Wine pairings are curated by their in-house sommelier – opt for these instead of selecting bottles yourself for the full experience.
•Dress code matters here – smart-casual at minimum, with many patrons opting for formal attire to match the sophisticated atmosphere.
•Dietary restrictions should be mentioned when booking, giving the kitchen time to prepare alternatives that maintain the integrity of Harrison's vision.
Insider Tip
•The Tuesday Chef's Table experience (R850pp) includes kitchen access and exclusive off-menu items not available during regular service.
