This compact black hatchback offers a unique driving proposition for urban professionals, city dwellers, and anyone seeking an economical yet characterful runabout that excels in congested metropolitan areas. Performance & Efficiency: Under the bonnet of this nimble city car sits a 698cc three-cylinder petrol engine. While modest in size, it delivers a spirited driving experience perfectly suited to urban environments. The manual transmission gives drivers complete control, making the most of the engine's output while navigating through traffic or tight parking spaces. The Smart City's lightweight construction ensures impressive fuel economy, consuming approximately 4.7L/100km in combined cycle driving a significant advantage given today's fuel prices. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in around 15.5 seconds not record-breaking, but entirely adequate for its intended purpose as a city runabout. Key Specifications: * Engine: 698cc three-cylinder petrol * Power Output: 37kW at 5,250rpm * Torque: 80Nm at 4,000rpm * Transmission: 6-speed sequential manual * 0-100 km/h: 15.5 seconds * Fuel Consumption: 4.7L/100km combined * Drivetrain: Rear-wheel drive * Top Speed: 135 km/h Features & Interior Design: The Smart City's distinctive two-tone exterior design remains as eye-catching today as when it first appeared. The cabin offers comfortable seating for two, with height-adjustable driver's seat and a decent audio system. Safety features include driver and passenger airbags, ABS brakes, and the innovative Tridion safety cell construction that provides remarkable protection despite the car's small footprint. Why It's Ideal for South African Roads: In South African cities like Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, the Smart City truly comes into its own.
